英国BBC消息，英国有1名男子打电话到西中地(West Midland)警局报案，男子表示，他在酒店停车场遇见的应召女郎实在太丑，和当初她所描述的不一样，认为她违反了英国《货品销售法》(Sales of Goods Act)”，涉嫌欺骗消费者。
所谓《货品销售法》，是英国在1979年制定，给予消费者法律上的权利，要求商家卖出的货品质量必须让消费者满意、符合需求，并且和卖家对货品的描述相符。
男子又补充说明，女子抢了他的车钥匙，打开车门跑走，才把钥匙丢还他。但警察认为这样不足以构成犯罪，并强调，嫖妓才是违法的，男子随即掉电话不愿透露身份，但警方追查出他的联系方式，并寄一封警告信，认为他涉嫌浪费警察时间，最高可以关他6个月。
